A conservancy that preserves and re-naturalizes land. ParkDAO lands are allowed to flourish and be wild, or sustainably improved with guidance from naturalists and conservationists. The land is collectively managed based on a set of core principles, ensuring equitable and responsible stewardship.
Land is cataloged and digitally scanned using drone photogrammetry. These digital assets can be infinitely combined and remixed. Developers, creators and artists can build upon them, change their aesthetic, or integrate them into their own applications and virtual worlds.
A collective governance model ensures transparent and open access to shaping the organization's direction. The digitized land assets are the building blocks of a vibrant digital collaboration platform called Place. This platform is built for the community and with the community.
A DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is a mechanism that enables online communities to form and coordinate economically. A DAO is a new kind of digital and economic entity that runs on code and is directly controlled by its members. It makes it possible for an online group with members from anywhere in the world to pool capital and hard-code rules - entirely in software - for how that capital will be managed and deployed. Those rules are enforced by smart contracts on an underlying blockchain. DAOs are a digital native mechanism for human coordination.
Yes they are. We recognize NFTs (and web3/ crypto in general) can be polarizing. We're building using NEAR Protocol so they are completely carbon neutral. And we believe there's an important place for different perspectives when applying new technology.
